The collection consists of microfilmed copies of twenty-two scrapbooks and approximately four linear inches of documents. The documents are comprised mainly of reports written for the state and national A.F.W.C. offices describing the club's activities for the previous year. The club's minute books comprise a separate series (Series 2), as do the club's scrapbooks and guest books (Series 3).

Scope and Content Note The material in the first accession (Boxes 1-14) was largely collected and saved by Sarah Van Patten Ellsworth and her daughter Bessie Graham Ellsworth. Many of the pictures and scrapbooks were used as exhibit material when the Ellsworth house, "Wildwood," was opened as a private museum in 1963.
