Audley Anderson Skillern Land Grant, 1851
The collection consists of a land grant awarded to Audley Skillern for the southeast quarter of Section 26, Township 17, Range 29 (160 acres) in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Although the document ostensibly features the signature of President Millard Fillmore, by 1851 presidents designated a secretary to sign land grants on their behalf.

Orders for payment, canceled checks, bank statements, mortgage payment coupons, ledger statements, and merchant account statements, all pertaining to the William Wilson family. Most of the pre-Civil War documents are in a brief correspondence format, with a simple memorandum for payment signed by William Wilson. Postwar documents include the widest variety of document types and pertain mostly to Andrew, Albert, and Rollans Wilson. This series has been arranged chronologically.
