Biographical Note

Elizabeth Findley Shores (1958-) is a writer and educator. She was born July 17, 1958, and grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She served as Mississippi State University's Early Childhood Institute's Associate Director for Research, Communications, and National Initiatives. Shores is the author of On Harper's Trail: Roland McMillan Harper, Pioneering Botanist of the Southern Coastal Plain (2008), Earline's Pink Party: The Social Rituals and Domestic Relics of a Southern Woman (2017), and an upcoming biography of writer Charles J. Finger, to be published by the University of Arkansas Press.
