Typewritten transcript of the diary and journal of the Arkansas physician and clergyman, entitled, "Marion D. Steele Book, November AD 1852, Receipts and formulays, Powhaton Ark March 1st 1855, Diary." The material, which includes records of medicines prescribed and weddings performed January 13, 1859 to August 25, 1863, pertains to the history of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South and to the history of medicine in Lawrence County, Arkansas, 1855 to 1863.

The collection contains materials related to the Warner family, primarily of Lawrence County, Arkansas, and in particular to drugstore owner and local historian L. R. Warner, and to his brother, R. B. Warner. Materials include family correspondence and obituaries; clippings and writings on Lawrence County history; clippings, notes, and photographs relating to Walnut Ridge's Old River Outing Club; and other family materials and ephemera.
