The collection contains materials related to the Warner family, primarily of Lawrence County, Arkansas, and in particular to drugstore owner and local historian L. R. Warner, and to his brother, R. B. Warner. Materials include family correspondence and obituaries; clippings and writings on Lawrence County history; clippings, notes, and photographs relating to Walnut Ridge's Old River Outing Club; and other family materials and ephemera.

Biographical / Historical

Lucian Roberts (L. R.) Warner (1891-1986) was a drugstore owner, school board member, and local historian in Lawrence County, Arkansas; he was married to Margaret Helen Post Warner (1899-1990). The couple had three daughters, Martha Ann Metrailer, Lucia W. Allen, and Peggy Warner. L. R. Warner's parents were Richard Brinson Warner (1855-1892) and Minerva Tennessee Roberts (1865-1941).
