The collection consists of a land grant awarded to Audley Skillern for the southeast quarter of Section 26, Township 17, Range 29 (160 acres) in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Although the document ostensibly features the signature of President Millard Fillmore, by 1851 presidents designated a secretary to sign land grants on their behalf.

Postwar documents include the widest variety of document types and pertain mostly to Andrew, Albert, and Rollans Wilson. This series has been arranged chronologically.
