Scope and Content Note From the Collection: Letters dated at Washington, D. C. April 19, 1830 and April 25, 1831, from President Jackson to, respectively, Samuel F. Hays at Nashville, Tennessee and the Reverend Hardy M. Cryer, near Gallatin, Tennessee. The earlier, one-page letter deals with personal affairs, principally with the care of Jackson's garden and his wife's grave at "The Hermitage."
