The bulk of the collection is the negative and print files of George C. Douthit, as he originally arranged them. Typescripts and clippings kept by Douthit and his wife are also included.
Correspondence- oversize greeting card [made by Douthit's fellow newsmen], undated
Correspondence is included in this series. Most of the typescripts are of Douthit's columns and were originally in envelopes by year. The original envelope labels are enclosed in quotation marks. Individual typescripts were put in chronological order where necessary. A few typescripts were loose in the collection or included with clippings.
