Content Description

The collection consists of recordings on audiocassette tapes and interviewee release forms related to a 1986-1990 oral history project conducted by the Eureka Springs Preservation Society to preserve the stories of Eureka Springs residents. Recordings are primarily oral history interviews; also included are recordings of Eureka Springs Preservation Society General Meetings that included related presentations. Release forms are present for most of the interviews conducted in 1986-1987. Interviewees include artist Louis Freund; writer Virginia Tyler; Zoe Harp; Charles (Charlie) Hoskins; Dewey Marie French; Jim Lent (the oldest resident of Eureka Springs at the time of his interview); and Catherine Pitts Cline.
