Military bounty land warrant number 23448, awarded to Harmon Wart for his service during the War of 1812. The warrant was for "160 acres being the north east quarter of section 18, township 6 north, range 9 west" in Arkansas Territory.

Biographical / Historical
Harmon Wart served as a private during the War of 1812, including service in Captain William Bradford's rifle regiment. Wart was born in Bedford, Pennsylvania; at the age of 41, he enlisted in the Army on October 5, 1814 in Franklin, Pennsylvania.
