Material pertains primarily to the Department of Zoology and the classes taught by Dellinger, including correspondence, memos, lecture notes, examinations, student papers, and Dellinger's notebooks.  Also included are items pertaining to the organization of the department, classes taught, finances, and its relationship to the university as a whole.  Organizations, both student and faculty, in which Dellinger participated are also included.

The arrangement of material apparently organized and labeled by Dellinger has been retained. Most material, however, showed no evident organization, and consequently has been arranged by type (examinations, lecture notes, notebooks, etc.) and/or topic (organizations, department, classes, etc.). In general, as much as possible has been placed into "Correspondence" folders: correspondence, memoranda, and notices.
