The letter was written on 25 pages of "canary second sheets.” A photocopy was prepared for use. In his reminiscences, Dr. McAllister describes several houses, businesses, and churches on Dickson Street and in the immediate vicinity. He also gives a detailed synopsis of his own life as a physician, his numerous residencies at medical schools throughout the country, and his service in the Army during World War II, where he served under Dwight Eisenhower in the North Africa campaign.
