Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of materials pertaining to American food cooperatives. The bulk of materials are newsletters of food cooperatives, but the collection also includes limited organizational records of the Arkansas-based New Destiny Federation, among other materials.

Content Description Personal and professional papers of John Harrison Newman, who was involved in Northwest Arkansas communes and food cooperatives, including the Ozark Cooperative Warehouse, and established a consulting business to turn around failing companies.
