Letters and copies of letters to and from R. S. Biggers.

The letters mainly pertain to R. S. Biggers's behind-the-scenes political activities: letters requesting his help in getting people jobs and letters he wrote to Wilbur D. Mills, Hattie W. Caraway, and John E. Miller, recommending people for jobs. Unless otherwise noted, it should be assumed that R. S. Biggers' location was Hardy, Arkansas.

Scope and Content Note

The materials include photocopies of genealogical information, correspondence, photographs and a partial autobiography. Materials are divided into two volumes. The volumes were compiled by the donor, Richard Cochran, who married Deisch's great-granddaughter in 2000.
