Typescript of transcribed oral history interview of Zula Zanzibar Deeter by Esther B. Raun. The interview was conducted in fall 1978; the transcript was completed in 1987, and includes a foreward and postscript by Raun, as well as a topical index. Topics include cars, Civilian Conservation Corps camps, childbirth and child rearing, clothing, the Great Depression, farming, food, illnesses and medical care, religion, social life, and education.

The collection contains materials related to the Moose Family of Arkansas, including clippings, family histories, and photographs. Family members mentioned in collection materials include James S. Moose, Sr.; James S. Moose, Jr.; Virginia Darden Moose; Richard M. Moose; Margaret Davis Moose; R. Redding Stevenson; and William Wilson Stevenson.

Scope and Content Note The papers include photocopied genealogies and memoirs by May Hope Moose and Florence Cazort Byrd (first cousin to May Cazort McClurkin); a photocopy of the memoirs of May Cazort McClurkin constitutes part of the collection as well, as do photocopies of familial correspondence.
