James Madison Hudson Papers
The collection contains typescripts of two memoirs by Arkansan James Madison Hudson, one covering his service in the Confederate army, and one covering his experiences of Reconstruction in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
In addition, the collection includes examples of Confederate currency, including Arkansas state treasury warrants, Confederate States of America banknotes, and local scrip.

Bank notes, bills of exchange, and treasury warrants of the United States, the Town of Fayetteville (1842), the State of Arkansas, and the Confederate States of America (1861-1864), and the German Republic (1922), together with Arkansas and Confederate war bonds (1861-1864).
