Diary of Elizabeth Reagan. Reagan's diary spans over 18 years (1953-1970) and offers an intimate insight into her family's daily life, such as the daily struggles of operating an economically viable farm, her husband's continuous bad health, the social implications of living in poverty especially for her children, and the comforts that her devoutly religious outlook brought her in her life.

Scope and Content Note The Elizabeth Reagan Journals Addendum consists of handwritten journals, personal letters, and financial documents dated from 1939 - 2009. This collection holds twenty-eight hardback journal books, four Big Chief notepads used as journals, and one composition notebook. Other materials include personal accounts such as schedules for the children’s chores, prayers, and family expectations.
