The majority of the collection consists of documentation pertaining to Kiser's service in the armed forces spanning from 1939 to his retirement from active duty. The collection also includes photographs, newspaper clippings, academic awards and certificates, Kiser's dissertation, and several books on the Pacific theater during World War II, at least one of which mentions Kiser directly.

The materials are largely concerned with the practice, teaching, and reform of juvenile justice in the state of Arkansas. Also included are materials relevant to Marcia McIvor's personal life, her employment with the University of Arkansas, and her work with various government agencies and the Ozark Legal Institute.

The collection contains personal and scholarly documents pertaining to the life and career of Elaine Ogden McNeil, particularly her scholarly work and involvement in desegregation, as well as photographs and newspaper clippings.

The collection consists of one item, a letter written by James Mitchell on November 27, 1874. It is written by hand on a folded sheet of stationery bearing a lithograph in green depicting University Hall, the building housing the Arkansas Industrial University. In the letter Mitchell addresses David Walker, a prominent judge, asking Walker to use his influence with the Arkansas General Assembly to obtain a sufficient appropriation to operate the new University.

The collection contains correspondence, speeches, photographs and other items primarily dating from Nichols' tenure as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Much of the material relates to his opposition to Act No. 10, his involvement with the AAUP, and his reception of the Meiklejohn Award. The many curious items in this collection include propaganda materials from the American Nazi Party and broadsides accusing the University of Arkansas of harboring communists.

Collection contains article reprints, research files and publications pertaining to nutrition and vitamin deficiencies.

Autograph book with signed personal inscriptions collected by Ida Pace from Jan. 4, 1884, to May 15, 1886, from approximately 62 persons, 46 of whom were Arkansas Industrial University students.

These papers include the biographical sketches submitted to Reynolds and Thomas. Papers and clippings pertaining to the biographies are also contained in this series.

The collection contains eight reports which include text, photographs, negatives, color photocopies, drawings, sketches, and maps.

The papers consist of drafts of The First 100 Years and research notes. Research notes consist of correspondence, annual reports, and notes taken from newspapers and oral interviews. Series 1 consists of correspondence, ideas, and memos, as well as handwritten and typed drafts. Series 2 consists of Leflar's research files. Box 8 includes a set of note cards organized by subject.
