Scope and Content Note

The collection includes correspondence between Spain and early publishers, friends, and several years of fan mail, several volumes and journals of his published poetry and other literature, cut outs from the Arkansas Gazette, Benton Country Daily Record, the Bella Vista Vista, several botanical drawings, photos, and plaques.

Scope and Contents The collection contains materials related to the career of horticulturalist and writer Carl Totemeier. A significant portion of the materials relate to institutions at which Totemeier worked, including the New York Botanical Garden (Bronx, N.Y.), Old Westbury Gardens (Old Westbury, N.Y.), and Planting Fields Arboretum (Oyster Bay, N.Y.).
