The collection consists of letters written by Elizabeth Patey Watson and her daughter, Elizabeth “Betty” C. Watson. Within the text, information is given about family members and familial association, daily life in Tennessee and Arkansas, and personal and family health.

Scope and Content Note Letters, promissory notes, and other miscellaneous documents pertaining to the Currie families of Woodruff County, Arkansas. The letters describe farming conditions, some local politics and race relations, and mostly family gossip regarding health, marriages, and deaths.
