The photographs were taken by JoBelle Schrillo's maternal uncle, W. V. Davis, of the Electric Studio, Springdale, Arkansas, and one bears the stamp of the studio. Four of the photographs are in a long format, 9 by 3 inches. The fifth is 5 1/4 by 3 1/4 inches. Descriptions, including names of some of the persons in the picture, were written on the verso of each item by Ms. Schrillo.

Home of Wiley, Elbert and Hanna Davis. Ten people posed in front of a frame house with a substantial stone chimney. Fence, outbuildings. In outer yard are scattered logs and smaller timber. JoBelle Thomas, the donor, is in the picture, with her mother and other family members., Early 1930s.

The photo depicts 26 men and a small child in a single row, each man holding the leash of at least one dog. Several cars are parked in the background.
