Scope and Content Note

The records contain a printed history of the church, six volumes of church minutes and Presbyterian Session records, and four groups of loose-leaf minutes. The history of the church was created as a memento for Homecoming Sunday, May 7, 1989. The church met in celebration of the two hundredth anniversary of the first General Assembly of Presbyterians in the United States. Volumes 1-5 are also available on 1 reel of microfilm.

Acquisition Information

Records of the First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville (Benton County), Arkansas, were loaned to Special Collections for microfilming by the librarian of the church, Virginia L. Williams, on June 28, 1989. On December 19, 1989, part of the records were donated to the department in behalf of the church by Richard Macarthy, Clerk of the Session.
