Historical Note

The Fay Jones School of Architecture was established in the 1946-47 academic year as a program of architecture courses taught within the College of Engineering. In 1974, the program became a school with E. Fay Jones, an alumnus of the program and renowned architect, serving as its first dean.

The Fay Jones School of Architecture has been offering an honors program to undergraduate students since 2005. The goal of the honors program is to challenge these students who stand out academically by requiring the completion of more challenging courses and the submission of a thesis in their final year in the program. The school-wide honors program is open to honors students majoring in architecture, landscape architecture, or interior design. This collection consists of honors theses submitted by students seeking to complete degrees from the School of Architecture.
