Biographical Note
Lucy Beth Dyer was a member of the Newberry Chapel 4-H Club in Crawford County, Arkansas. She received numerous awards including county winner in 1953 and 1954 in the safety hazards category, in 1955 she won for better methods electric, and she was Arkansas state winner in the frozen foods category in 1956. In total, Lucy Beth completed 42 projects, gave 17 demonstrations, and wrote over 60 news reports in her 6 years of club work. She also served as club vice president in 1956. Lucy Beth Kisor went on to attend the University of Arkansas from 1958-1962 and received a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics.
