Biographical Note

Glenn Gant was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1911. He graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute and is known for his regionalist paintings of Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. In 1942, Gant was drafted into the United States Army. After World War II, he returned to Kansas City and served on the faculty of the Art Institute from 1947 to 1960. Glenn Gant moved to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, in 1960, where he worked as a painter and organized public art exhibitions until his death in 1999.
