Biographical Note
Charles Edd Caudle was born November 14, 1923 in Winslow, Arkansas. He finished his education after graduating the 8th grade in 1937 at Oak Grove School. A few years later, he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps where he worked at Devil’s Den Park from 1940-1941. He then served the US Navy in the Pacific Theater of World War II from 1943-1945. After he returned from war, he married Christine Reed in 1947, and they had three children together: Eddie, Dale, and Dennis. He worked various jobs before founding Airways Freight Corporation in 1980 which still exists today as a multi-million dollar business. Edd and Christine divorced in 1992, and he later married Darlene in 1996. He died June 3, 2009 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
