Biographical Note
The Arkansas History Teaching Materials collection was compiled from a variety of sources at different times. These materials were used to instruct teachers on how to teach Arkansas history at every grade level. Some of the materials were issued to teachers directly from the General Education Division in the Arkansas Department of Education while some were given to teachers from other government bodies such as the Trail of Tears Association.
Materials include lesson plan materials with key terms and facts, locations and phone numbers for historical places in Arkansas, Louisiana Purchase and Trail of Tears information, and biographical information on famous Arkansans and non-Arkansans.
