Historical Sketch

The University of Arkansas's Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences celebrated its Fine Arts Center's fiftieth anniversary on April 20-21, 2001 with an event called "Celebrating 50 Years of Artistry and Imagination." The event took place in the Fine Arts Center building, designed by Edward D. Stone to house all the fine arts under one roof and dedicated in 1951. The celebration included an art installation called "Retrospective," musical and dramatic performances, and a rededication ceremony.
