Biographical Note

The Bodcaw Lumber Company was incorporated in Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas, in January 1889 in order to engage in purchasing, manufacturing, and selling lumber. In 1891, the company had moved its business to Stamps, Lafayette County, Arkansas. By 1917, the Arkansas-based company was dissolved and its assets transferred to Good Pine, Louisiana, where the newly incorporated Bodcaw Lumber Company of Louisiana, Inc., carried on until the company ceased operations in 1951.
