Biographical Note

Dr. Harold D. Hantz was the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Arkansas, Emeritus Professor of Philosophy and Coordinator of Honors Studies between 1958 and 1974.

The Honors Program, administered by the Honors Council, was adopted by the faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences, University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Arkansas, on March 24, 1955 under the guidance of Dr. G.D. Nichols. It provides opportunities for additional and independent study which results in broadening and deepening of students' knowledge of their own fields and their general educational backgrounds.
