Biographical Note

The Arkansas Home Demonstration Club program was part of a nationwide adult educational program, in agriculture, home economics, and family life, of the Cooperative Extension Service of the College of Agriculture at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and the United States Department of Agriculture. The Carroll County Council of Home Demonstration Clubs was organized October 17, 1923 by Mrs. Zealia Burke Jackson. Clubs represented were Berryville, Bunch, Thurton, Grandview, Green Forest, and Eureka Springs. The organization disbanded in 1977.
