Biographical / Historical
The collection is from an Ad Hoc committee looking at a potential merger between Little Rock University and the University of Arkansas. Little Rock Junior College was established in 1927. The school became Little Rock University (LRU) in 1957. Then in 1969, LRU merged with the University of Arkansas System, becoming the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
