Scope and Contents
The collection contains materials related to an interview of Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton conducted by journalist Michael Barr for The Grapevine in 1979. Included are an audio cassette tape recording of the interview, as well as CDs containing digitized .wav files of the tape; a draft transcript of the interview created by the Pryor Center; and a typescript of reminiscences by Barr about the interview. Interview topics include the Arkansas state budget, energy issues, highway construction, and capital punishment.

Biographical / Historical
Michael Barr worked as a Fayetteville public school teacher in the 1970s, as well as worked as a staff writer for the Fayetteville, Arkansas alternative newspaper, The Grapevine, before joining the staff of the Fayetteville Open Channel around 1981. At Fayetteville Open Channel he worked as a production coordinator and later as station manager before leaving Arkansas in 1985.
