Scope and Contents
The collection consists of an informational sheet written by White in 1990 and a series of letters from 1968. White visited the U of A in 1968 when he was President of the Arkansas Broadcasters Association. Subsequent meetings followed with campus administration and the Arkansas Broadcasters Association to establish a program of study for broadcasting and a campus radio station.

Biographical / Historical
Adrian L. White was born in Paragould, AR on April 1, 1924. He graduated from Paragould High School in 1943, served with the 116th Military Intelligence Company during World War II, and graduated from Arkansas State College in 1948. He Married Martha Hylander in 1949 and had three children. White had a long career in both broadcasting and service to his community. He built his first radio station in 1950. He served as Mayor of Pocahontas, AR. He served as President of the Arkansas Broadcasters Association, Arkansas Municipal League, Arkansas Associated Press Broadcasters Association, Pocahontas Rotary Club, and Pocahontas Chamber of Commerce. He served on the Board of Directors for multiple groups, including serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Broadcasters Association for approximately 20 years. He died in 1992.
