Biographical / Historical

Nancy Kay Allen (1941-2020) grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where she was active in Girl Scouts and a member of the Fayetteville High School marching band. She also participated in the marching band at the University of Arkansas before graduating in 1962; she then earned a master's degree in social work from Ohio State University before moving to Atlanta, Georgia, where she worked for the National Girl Scouts of America.
