Correspondence in collection consists of photocopies and transcriptions rather than originals; correspondents include Nancy Ball, J. S. Ball, Jane Ball Tucker, Ann Ball, Matilda Ball Welborn, and others, particularly of Pleasant Hill, Arkansas and Atlas, Illinois, writing to Lucinda Ball Robison of Washington County, Arkansas. Biographical / Historical
Collection materials indicate that Robert Ball (1775-1844) and Mary Ann Hardin Ball of Conway, Arkansas, were the parents of Lucinda Ball Robison (1810-1866), Matilda Ball Welborn (1812-?), Mary Ann Ball Schafer (1811-1853), Bennett B. Ball (1805-1851), John S. Ball (1806-?), William L. Ball (1820-?), and Jane Ball Tucker (1808-?).
