Scope and Content Note

This collection contains primarily of architectural drawings related to the built environment of the University of Arkansas campus, Fayetteville. Most of the drawings are period reproductions,such as blueprints. Additional related supplemental materials including specifications, correspondence, photographs, and related drawings are also included.

The original documents are restricted and can be accessed only with permission from the Architectural Records Archivist or the Head of Special Collections. Digital surrogates will be made available to patrons. No Interlibrary Loan. Standard Federal Copyright Laws Apply (U.S. Title 17)

Historical

The University of Arkansas Facilities Department accumulated documents related to the physical environment of the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville. These documents served to support building and maintenance efforts. Some of the material gained significance relative to University history over time. Improved technology allowed the incremental replacement of the physical documents with digital surrogates. The physical documents were donated to Special Collections for inclusion in the University Archives.

Acquisition Information

The first accession of the University of Arkansas Facilities Management Architectural Drawings were received from the University of Arkansas Facilities Management Department on March 15th, 2019. This is an ongoing collection.
