Biographical / Historical

Friends For Fayetteville was a nonprofit community organization established in 1994 to promote civic engagement, environmental preservation, and responsible land use in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Initiatives included work on Fayetteville's Arbor Day Celebration, collaboration with Habitat for Humanity, and sponsoring the NeighborWoods commemorative tree planting program. The group was active through at least 2002.

Materials were originally received in a plastic binder, and have been removed from the binder for preservation reasons. The bound contents of the binder, the Friends For Fayetteville Board Orientation Packet, have been retained in their original order; materials originally stored in binder pockets have been organized by format and topic.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The Friends For Fayetteville Records were donated to Special Collections by Andrea Fournet of Fayetteville, Arkansas, on April 30, 2021. Fournet served as Chair of the Friends For Fayetteville Board of Directors circa 1999-2000.
