Scope and Content Note

The Faubus Oral History Interview Project Materials contains notes, transcripts, newspaper clippings, photocopied reproductions of archival materials, and tape cassette recordings of interviews that were conducted as part of Tom Wagy's project. The materials are divided into three series and are arranged according to original order.

Biographical Note

A History Professor at Texas A and M University-Texarkana, Tom Wagy conducted extensive research, including an extended oral history project related to Orval Faubus and the Little Rock Integration Crisis in an attempt to draft a book about the subject.

Acquisition Information

The Faubus Oral History Interview Project Materials were donated to the Special Collections Department by Tom Wagy of Texarkana, Texas on May 3, 2018

Existence and Location of Copies

All contents of Series 3 were digitized by Media Preserve in April 2022. .mp3 and .wav files are stored on Special Collections' preservation server, and are available to view in the Special Collections Reading Room.
