The collection contains materials relating to two programs that Robert B. Ericksen was involved with during his tenure as an instructor and foreign student adviser at St. Louis University. These include photographs and documents pertaining to the Cross-Cultural Outdoor Project (C.C.O.P), an outdoor awareness and intercultural program that received funding support from NAFSA's Cooperative Projects Committee, as well as photographs from orientation sessions for St. Louis University' Intensive English Program.

Biographical / Historical
Robert B. Ericksen is an educator and higher education administrator. A former Peace Corps volunteer, Ericksen worked at St. Louis University teaching English as a Second Language and serving as a foreign student advisor. He later served as Director of International Student Services at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and then as Director of International Education and Exchange at California State University, Fullerton.

Arrangement
Materials are arranged by program and by format. Some photographs from SLU Intensive English Program orientation sessions had numbers handwritten on the back of each print; these numbers have been used to organize photographs, when present, and they may relate to session number or date.

The Robert B. Ericksen International Education Papers were donated to Special Collections in November 1986.
