Biographical Note

Alexander Hendry was a carpenter and builder born in Scotland on October 118, 1820. He learned his trade in Scotland and traveled to America in 1853, first arriving in Tecumseh, Michigan where he worked for twelve years. In 1866, he came to Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was responsible for the construction of several buildings in the city's town square and homes for prominent Fayetteville citizens.
