Scope and Content Note

Papers consist of diaries with nearly complete daily entries from 1906-1927 describing Boyd's professional, personal, and business life; one folder of letters, 1911-1921; one folder of newspaper clippings; one folder of miscellaneous papers. Also included are photographs taken at Bloomington, Illinois of stone ornamentations for the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville Memorial Hall which were designed by Rem J. Slattery Jr. of the firm Haralson and Mott, ca. 1938. A 2023 addition to the collection includes a family photograph album and family history documentation compiled by Michelle Mock Pontrelli.

Donated by Mary Boyd Mock Slattery, Houston, Texas, July 22, 1991.

Additional materials (Box 2) were donated by Michelle Mock Pontrelli, the great-granddaughter of Milton P. Boyd and niece of Mary Boyd Mock Slattery, of San Marcos, Texas, on January 24, 2023.

Processing Information

Processed by Kim Allen Scott; completed in May, 1992. An additional donation of materials (Box 2) was incorporated into the collection by Katrina Windon in February 2023.
