Literary manuscripts of the Rogers, Arkansas humorist who wrote under the pseudonyms J. Fuller Gloom and Tennyson J. Daft, consisting mostly of his unpublished plays, short stories, and sketches, together with ten scrapbooks of mounted material, mostly clippings from his daily column and other works published in the Kansas City Star and various periodicals.

Biographical Note
Morgan was well known as a writer of jokes, puns, comments, clippings, stories and serials in a number of publications during his lifetime. He wrote under several names, including those of J. Fuller Gloom and Tennyson J. Daft.

Morgan, Tom P., humorist; b. East Lyme, Conn., Dec. 1, 1864; s. Joseph P. and Mary Ann M.; at school about 3 yrs. in Conn., about 7 in Kan.; unmarried. Republican. Has contributed to leading publs. using humor. Regular contrbr. to Curtis publications; contributing daily humorous column to Kansas City Star. Home: Rogers, ark. Died July 7, 1928.

Acquisition Information
Scrapbooks belonging to the late Tom P. Morgan, who died more than twenty-five years ago in Rogers, have been given to the University by Vance Randolph and Miss Vera Key of Rogers, the nurse who tended Morgan during his last illness. Manuscripts of Morgan left unpublished at his death also are new acquisitions of the University.
