Scope and Content Note

Correspondence, memoranda, drafts of grant proposals, conference materials, minutes, publications, and other documents primarily related to Charles Gliozzo’s involvement with NAFSA: Association of International Educators, the National Council for International Visitors, and the Council for International Educational Exchange. The bulk of the collection is made up of documents from Gliozzo’s time spent at annual NAFSA conferences from 1992-2010, and the formation of an awareness program for international student health care.

Biographical Note

Charles A. Gliozzo is professor emeritus of history at Michigan State University where he was director of the university’s Office of Overseas Study from 1973-1994. During his time at MSU, Gliozzo was heavily involved with NAFSA: Association of International Educators, planning and attending conferences. Gliozzo was also a member of NAFSA’s Section on U.S. Students Abroad (SECUSSA) and served as chair for the Council on International Educational Exchange. Gliozzo has since retired from MSU, but has remained active as an adjunct professor and consultant for MSU’s Institute on International Health.
