Biographical Note
Allan Sparrow Humphreys worked on the faculty at the University of Arkansas for 38 years. He served as Dean of Men from 1937 to 1945 and Professor of Chemistry from 1944-1956. Humphreys Hall, a men's residence hall on campus, was named after him by the University Board of Trustees in 1961.
