Biographical Note

The Benton County Horticultural Society was formed in 1893 to "promote the horticultural interests of the county" through intellectual exchange, agricultural experimentation, and cooperation with other agricultural societies. The society aided its members in determining best practices for growing their famed apple crops. The society slowly stopped its operations between 1909 and 1912 where its scrapbook records end.
