Biographical Note

Albert Howard Carter, Jr. was an author and a professor of English at the University of Arkansas. He completed his Ph. D. in English at the University of Chicago and married Marjorie Dargan in 1939. Carter later moved to St. Petersburg, Florida and was among the founding faculty of Florida Presbyterian College, later Eckerd College. Carter passed away in 1970.
