Scope and Content Note
Scrapbook of mounted clippings of published articles and letters to the editors of newspapers, written by physician Medearis, a native of Madison County, Arkansas who studied medicine in London and Paris, who subsequently practiced medicine in Huntsville, Arkansas and who later practiced in Argenta [North Little Rock], Arkansas. Most clippings are from the Madison County Democrat or the Madison County Record, but some are from the Arkansas Gazette, the Little Rock Daily News, the Southwest Times Record, and unidentified newspapers.

Biographical Note
Robert Summerfield Medearis was a native of Madison County, Arkansas. He left the state to study medicine in London, England and Paris, France but returned to practice in Huntsville, Arkansas and later North Little Rock, Arkansas.
