Scope and Content Note
Xerox copy of manuscript text (138 pages) and of typewritten transcript (70 pages) of autobiographical sketch, dated March 3, 1954, by Mary Susan High Casey Brisco, a Berryville, Arkansas folk singer whose sound recorded songs are a part of the University Folklore Collection. (See "A Check List of Arkansas Songs," Arkansas Folklore, vol. 4, no. 2, Jan. 1, 1954 and vol. 7, no. 1, Mar. 1957, in Series F4 of University Folklore Collection). Prefatory material includes a typewritten title page, 3 pages (unnumbered) of "Introduction by Mary Celestia Parler," and an 8" x 10" glossy print portrait of Mrs. Brisco.

Acquisition Information
Folders 1-3 of the Mary Susan High Casey Brisco "The Story of My Life" Autobiographical Sketch were copied from original manuscript and typescript loaned to Special Collections by Prof. Mary Celestia Parler Randolph of Fayetteville, Ark. in September 1974. Bound volume was donated by Frances Lott (Mrs. George Lott, Jr.), in April 1983.
