Biographical Note

The National Collegiate Association for Secretaries (NCAS) is an organization for Business Teacher Education and Secretarial Science Majors; it encourages the exchange of ideas and experiences among students planning secretarial careers, and provides contact for those students with professional business persons.

Although correspondence with the national office of NCAS began in 1967, the University of Arkansas Chapter of NCAS was not organized until April 1970. Twenty-seven members were initiated at the first meeting and Miss Pamela Payne was installed as president for 1970-1971.
